HimAndShe doesn't yet have community, messaging, or matching features — but safety is a core part of how we design them, and it starts with the guidance below.

Meeting someone new

• Meet in a public place, especially for the first few meetings.
• Tell a friend or family member where you're going and roughly when you expect to be back.
• Arrange your own way to and from the meeting.
• Avoid sharing your exact home address, workplace, or financial details early on.
• Trust your instincts — you never owe anyone an explanation for leaving.

Recognising common scams and red flags

• Requests for money, gifts, or financial details early on.
• Pressure to move to a private channel or meet somewhere private quickly.
• Refusal to video call or meet in public before meeting privately.
• Guilt-tripping or anger in response to a reasonable boundary.

If a relationship doesn't feel safe

Our guides are written for ordinary friction, not for situations involving control, threats, or abuse. If that's what you or someone you know is facing, please reach out to a trusted person outside the situation, and consider contacting a local counsellor, women's helpline, or the police where there is immediate danger.

Reporting a problem with this site

There's no user-generated content to report yet — once community and messaging features launch, every page with them will link directly back to this Center, with report and block controls built in from day one. Until then, if a guide seems wrong, outdated, or unsafe, please contact us.
